Tüpraş, Turkey's largest company, has consistently maintained its leadership in sustainability management. In 2008, the company set a benchmark in Turkey by presenting a model project in transparency and accountability with its sustainability report, prepared in compliance with the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) Standards. The report provides a comprehensive overview of Tüpraş's sustainability efforts from January 1, 2017, to December 31, 2018, reflecting the results of projects implemented since 2008.
Yelmenoğlu highlighted the need for a comprehensive, innovative, and sustainable development model, given the significant changes in business and individual lives driven by factors such as population growth, climate change, and emerging technologies. He stressed the importance of collaboration among stakeholders, particularly businesses, public entities, and non-governmental organizations, to achieve improved living standards for future generations.
Regarding Tüpraş's proactive stance in addressing these challenges, Yelmenoğlu said, "We have determined sustainability as one of the main elements of our business model.
